Hello!

My name is Aurore and I am the illustrator behind all the magic creatures you see here. I live on the beautiful island of Tasmania, Australia with my husband Shane and our daughter Emma.

I am self-taught and have been teaching myself to draw and paint for just over two years. I have always liked to draw, in fact as a little girl I wanted to be an illustrator! But somehow, as I grew up I forgot all about it and went to get a degree in Viking archaeology (which is a wonderful topic by the way!)

I mostly paint using watercolour and gouache. They're the medium I am the most comfortable with, but it could change as I explore new ideas and media!

Nature's flora and fauna are my never ending source of inspiration. I need to feel that I am part of nature, but because I live it's not always easy. I find that every few weeks, if not every weekend I need to escape to the countryside and fill my soul again. That's until we build my dream house in the woods!

Fantastic and dreamy scenes seem to come naturally to me and I like to play with them in my illustrations. I hope you like them too!
